Turner's, Good Call
What a day, what a long "AZZ" day. I woke up this morning with no Kaitlin so that was sad. For some reason I was exhausted today. I made it to Starbucks and bought a double shot and my usual coffee. I told the cashier, it's going to be that kind of day. She smiled and replied that a daily nap helps her make it through the day. I wish I could take a nap at IBACOS.
The 54C dropped my off at 21st and Liberty. I walked over to the Sunseri Bakery before work and bought three muffins. I ate the lemon poppy seed at work and saved the blueberry and apple for another breakfast another day. I made it to work by ten after eight and chatted it up with more of the employees at IBACOS. I'm becoming more friendly with the people that work there, so that's nice.
After lunch, Bill starts talking to me and says something to the effect of, I'm going to need you to go ahead and get a ladder and then there was a pause. At this point I was just as about confused as I was amused. Why would I need a ladder in an office and in any other office, this request would seem odd, but not at IBACOS. Bill wanted me to shut off or tape up a diffuser or air blower over one of the communications person's desk. So, I complied. I got the ladder, removed ceiling tile, and didn't die, so it worked out. I then proceeded to continue to work with Excel.
I got out of work a little before five and took a short nap while I stayed on the bus past Craig Street, all the way to Hemingway's. I heart Hemingway's so much. The bartenders know me, know what I want and are always very pleasant. I stayed there watching golf and drinking Miller Light until a quarter after seven. I got home to the CBH III at 7:25pm and decided that I wanted to go see Star Wars because no one has wanted to go see that with me up until this point. It was playing in Squirrel Hill on Forward Ave. at 7:30pm and a 61C was supposed to come by at that moment so I ran outside and caught it a couple of minutes later. I missed no more than five minutes, so it was all good. What a good movie. I really liked that movie. It really helped to bring everything together. I was in shock from it all. It was real emotional for me, making all sorts of connections and bringing up emotions and feelings from the first three movies (IV, V, VI). So cool.
I caught a 59U home and we picked up this guy carrying a few groceries. He starts talking me, but he was nice. He starts talking about how he's only going to Forbes and Murray and that he usually would walk, but he has groceries. I reply generic answers and then we start talking about the heat from last week and how milk wouldn't last the walk. I make a clever comment about how if I were milk I would have spoiled. The best part was, he said that his roommates can only drink a certain kind of milk. "They only drink Turner's Milk." I turn with a big smug on my face and reply, "Turner's, that's a good call." He said "Yeah, sure is." He got off the bus and I made my way home soon after.
This has been a long day. The Pistons just beat the Spurs by 31 points. I need sleep rull bad. ROFLCOPTER, how you doing? Take me up, up to the third floor and step on it...please.
